What is Extraction in Mistfall Hunter?

In Mistfall Hunter, extraction is a core gameplay mechanic where players must collect loot and then successfully escape from the game world. The game is categorized as a PvPvE extraction action-RPG, meaning that players will encounter both environmental challenges and rival players while trying to gather resources.

During an extraction run, players drop into a corrupted area, fight against monsters and other players (referred to as rival hunters), and aim to gather valuable loot. Once players have secured their loot, they must navigate to designated extraction points to escape with their items. This creates a high-stakes environment where players risk losing their gear if they are defeated before successfully extracting.
