Enemies & objectives

The Corroded →

Common enemies

Low-tier mutated creatures — the bread-and-butter AI threats that fill the ruins.

GamingTrend hands-on ↗

Returner Woodling →

Extraction objective

A rare creature you locate and defeat to obtain the Soul of Return, the item that lets you extract with your loot. Beta 3 also added fixed-route exits as an alternative.

Steam store (App 3282300) ↗

Greataxe Berserker →

Elite enemy

A corrupted fortress defender that exists only to fight. Despite the weight of its long-handled axe, it swings with brutal force and wide reach, cutting down several foes at once, and can lunge across great distances to open or chase.

Elite Berserker →

Elite enemy

A Berserker that has fully embraced the Gyldenmist; its axe and body glow with a sinister golden aura. Its roar alone wounds nearby foes, its attack chains are longer and stronger, and it can hurl its massive axe across the battlefield.

Twinblade Warrior Statue →

Elite / Ambush

A colossal hero-statue stirred to life by the weight of the fortress's prayers. It strikes without warning if hunters drop their guard, wielding two blades it can merge into a massive greatsword for sweeping strikes.

Elite Strawer →

Elite enemy

A grotesque effigy of grass and branches twisted into life. Its woven limbs stretch unnaturally far to ensnare prey, and the toughest -- Elite Strawers -- command flocks of crows to conceal their movements and tear at enemies.

Lamplighter →

Elite enemy

A corrupted maid still locked in her ritual of tending fortress lights -- now she sees the golden glow of a hunter's jar as a light that must be extinguished. Her spear-like staff is always faintly smoldering.

Frenzied Wizard →

Elite mage

A sorcerer driven mad by the Gyldening, a twisted perfectionist of ice magic. Its barrages devastate melee and ranged foes alike, turning the battlefield into a frozen nightmare.

Prison Guard & Nightwatcher →

Patrol enemy

The corrupted keepers of Brandrgarde's lowest levels, patrolling in endless repetition. Prison Guards carry barbed pole-spears; Nightwatchers wield chain flails and soul-binding lanterns.

Foul Hound Alpha →

Pack leader

Ravenous pack scavengers that hunt ceaselessly and rarely alone. The largest and most savage rise as Alphas, whose presence turns a pack into a deadly force.

Bosses

General Harald →

Named boss (Mist Lord)

A named boss revealed in an official 'Boss Reveal' trailer.

Reported Eneba Beta 3 coverage ↗

Mist Lords →

Boss category

Powerful elite bosses that guard the richest treasure — General Harald is a Mist Lord. The Mist Lord of Einherjar Mode drops Dried Flower Knots (added in the June 17 update).

Reported Steam news / DevNotes ↗

Warden →

Elite / Miniboss

The corrupted jailer of Brandrgarde. He wields a double-headed pillory so heavy a single swing shatters bone and armor, and conjures bone spurs from his shoulder or hand to impale foes at range.

Fungus Matron →

Miniboss / Area boss

A massive malignant fungal organism that blocks entire roads, releasing clouds of violet spores. When wounded it retreats beneath the earth, only to erupt again and resume its assault.

Unconfirmed / frequently asked

People search for a Mistfall Hunter harpy, but we can't confirm a named Harpy enemy — the only reference we found is a single joking social post, with no official or press source. We won't invent one. See the honest write-up → Unknown Community reports (beta) ↗

Enemies & bosses FAQ

What's the final boss in Mistfall Hunter?

The studio hasn't named a single 'final boss.' The standout named bosses so far are General Harald (a Mist Lord), Sálmar the Cursed Moonwane, and the community-named Otto Flesheater. We label each by how well it's confirmed.

How do you beat General Harald?

Bring upgraded gear from The Camp hub and a coordinated team; manage stamina, dodge the telegraphs, survive the enrage, and burst him down together.

What is the Returner Woodling?

A rare creature you locate and defeat to obtain the Soul of Return, the item that lets you extract with your loot. Beta 3 also added fixed-route exits as an alternative.
