Privacy Policy
Everything this site loads, stores, and where it goes.
Mistfall Hunters has no accounts and sets no cookies of its own. Below is everything the pages load or store. Updated October 2026.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics (Google Analytics 4, the gtag.js tag loaded from googletagmanager.com) to count visits and see which pages are read, with IP anonymization on. It uses cookies and collects standard usage data such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and the site that referred you; clicks on marked buttons and outbound links are sent to it as events. For visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, analytics storage starts off and turns on only if you click Allow on the banner. Everywhere else it is on unless you click No thanks. With analytics storage off, the Google tag still loads but sets no analytics cookies (under Google's Consent Mode it may still send cookieless pings). You can also block it with Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Google AdSense and advertising cookies
Pages with enough content load Google AdSense (adsbygoogle.js from pagead2.googlesyndication.com) to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. For visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland the page sets Google's consent signals for advertising storage and ad personalization to denied; the banner's buttons do not change advertising cookies anywhere. Opt out of personalized advertising in Google's Ads Settings. Opt out of some other vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info. How Google uses data from sites that use its services: Google partner-sites policy; how Google uses cookies in advertising: Google advertising policy.
Our own usage events
Two small scripts served from this site record anonymous usage, with no cookies and no name or email: which buttons and links are seen and clicked (sent to /api/feat, stored with a one-day session hash the server computes from your network address and browser), and which sections are read, for how long, how far you scroll and whether an AI assistant sent you (static/js/pulse.js, sent to /api/pulse, with a random id kept in your browser's sessionStorage for the tab). Both go to our hosted database (Supabase). Both stop sending once you click No thanks on the banner; pulse.js also stops when your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control.
Feedback button
The feedback button (widget.js from feedback.milanswers.com) sends nothing until you submit it. Then it sends your note, the email address if you choose to give one, and the address of the page.
Questions on the ask page
Your question is sent to OpenAI (model gpt-4o-mini) so it can be answered from our sourced facts. We keep a record of each question: the question text, the time, whether it was answered, the page suggested, and a short one-way hash of your network address (used to limit how many questions one visitor can ask). That record goes to our hosted database (Supabase) and to a log file on the server.
Messages from the contact page
What you type (name, email, message) and the time, plus a short one-way hash of your network address (used to slow down spam). It is stored in our hosted database (Supabase) so a person can read it and reply, with a temporary copy in a log file on the server that is cleared on each update. If the database does not accept it, the page tells you the message was not sent.
Stored in your browser
Your banner choice is kept in your browser's localStorage (mh_consent), and pulse.js keeps its random tab id in sessionStorage. The cookies on this site come from Google Analytics and Google AdSense, described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Hosting and links
Like any website, pages are delivered by a hosting provider, which processes your IP address and browser request in order to send the page. Source links go to outside sites (Steam, the official site, YouTube, Discord and others); their own privacy policies apply there.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
How long, and how to ask for deletion
No automatic deletion period is set. To ask us to delete a question or message, write through the contact page. Contact: the contact page.

If this policy changes, we update this page.
