Performance work in the launch build

From the Official Launch Announcement (Steam announcement, July 17, 2026) and DevNote #7 (July 24): dedicated optimization for Unreal Engine shader-precompilation stutters, device tiering with tailored default graphics per hardware class, dedicated tuning for consoles and low-end PCs, 2K/4K display adaptation, Camp-area frame-rate work, faster inventory/map UI during matches, and reduced combat micro-stutters. The devs' own caveat: results vary by hardware, and they'll keep deploying optimization updates post-launch.

Named bug fixes in the launch build

Quick Buy frequently failing (may still need retries while prices fluctuate); players stuck in Spectator mode; Windcaller Wings staying active indefinitely; server-wide mail not claimable; stage-selection errors blocking game start; login failures for players with too many Xbox friends (data overflow); reconnection blocked after disconnecting during a loading screen; a softlock when a crouching player was hit by the Knight's Thorn Guide; a UI freeze from spamming team-invite accept on controller; Soul Ferry audio playing incorrectly; skill abnormalities after switching classes with a Combat Bag equipped; loot drops sometimes not pickable. All are listed as fixed in the official launch announcement.

What's NEW at launch (not fixes)

Withered Knight's Polearm & Shield weapon archetype; Holy weapons with exclusive gameplay affixes; Brandrgarde: Cataclysm difficulty; Season 1 'Soul Hunt' with seasonal tasks/events and the 'Soul Harvest' themed gameplay; the Collection Pedestal; a Ladder & Tier Reward system; and a completely FREE Season 1 Battle Pass. Official note: the Blackarrow's new weapon slipped to a future season.
